I’m 47 with dry, dehydrated, sensitive skin and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. My skin barrier has also taken some damage over the years, mainly from not protecting my skin enough from UV exposure. Now that I’m trying to undo some of that damage and really focus on my skin barrier, I’ve become pretty picky about what I add to my routine. I definitely do my research before putting something new on my face! From what I’ve learned about the HARU HUGA Glazing Technique Serum, it’s basically designed to give your skin a serious boost of hydration while creating that smooth, dewy, almost “glazed” or glass-skin look. But what really caught my attention is that it isn’t just about making your skin look glowy… the formula has a really nice mix of hydrating, soothing, brightening, and barrier-supporting ingredients. Some of the standouts for me are Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Glutathione, Hydrolyzed DNA (PDRN), Ceramide NP, Centella Asiatica (Cica), Allantoin, and Porphyra Yezoensis Extract. It also contains Isopropyl Myristate and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride. One of the biggest reasons I wanted to try this serum is the 8-Type Hyaluronic Acid Complex. It includes Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Potassium Hyaluronate, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate, and Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate. These different forms are meant to provide hydration at different levels and help give the skin both immediate and longer-lasting moisture…EXACTLY what my dry, dehydrated skin needs!!!I do want to mention that Fragrance (Parfum) is listed at the very end of the ingredient list. That usually means it’s present in a small amount, but it’s still worth knowing if your skin is extremely sensitive to fragranced skincare. The packaging is really unique and definitely stands out from your typical serum. I love the clear bottle that lets you see the milky serum inside, paired with the oversized black dropper top. The wide, textured rim makes it easy to grip and twist open, and the whole design feels modern, fun, and different from anything else in my skincare collection.I’ve been using this both morning and evening. In the morning, I cleanse with lukewarm water, follow with a milky toner, and then apply two of my luxury skincare serums. After those, I pat about 2–3 drops of this serum into my skin almost like a little “moisture blanket.” With the different forms of hyaluronic acid, ceramide, and soothing cica, I like using it as that extra hydrating and calming layer over my other serums. I follow with my moisturizer and, most importantly, finish my morning routine with a broad-spectrum SPF. My evening routine looks pretty much the same, except there’s obviously no need for SPF before bed.I haven’t been using it long enough to speak on the long-term results yet, but so far my skin is LOVING it. My skin feels hydrated and comfortable, and I’m really happy to report that I haven’t experienced any irritation or breakouts using it this way. For dry, dehydrated skin like mine, it’s been a really nice addition to my routine so far!
